About me:
I'm a retired engineer who spent his 46-year career working on pipeline safety issues and enjoying photography in whatever spare time that was available. Well, now I have a lot more time available, so I can get more serious about my photography hobby. I have lived in San Antonio, Texas, since 1986 and barring any big surprises, will be here for the duration. A few years ago I sold off my Canon film gear to go digital. My only film camera now is a Zorki 4 rangefinder for which I have a couple of Industar and Jupiter lenses. It is still fulfilling to load up film and shoot a roll, but for critical work I would use digital. I have a Lumix FZ8 and a Lumix G1 with the two Lumix lenses. With an adapter I can also use the Industar and Jupiter lenses on the G1. I also have a small Casio P&S that is my "always with me" and makes a good lightmeter for the Zorki. I like to experiment with different photographic techniques and learn from the many forums and other resources on line.
