This year Sigma introduced two new long zoom lenses. This article is to provide photographers information regarding the use of these two lenses and to display photographs that myself and customers have taken. This article is not intended as a resolution test of these lenses.The first lens is the Sigma 120-400 OS. Before receiving this lens I had no experience with a lens of this magnification. My first impressions were that the lens was not as large or as heavy as I was expecting. (more)

This article shows how the Sigma DP1 performs with the B+W close focusing lenses +5 and +10 (when we have the Sigma close focus lens in stock, I will add it to the comparison). In order to add filters to the DP1 you need to have the HA-11 hood adapter, which costs $19.95. Some DP1 owners purchase more than one HA-11 because it is easier to simply switch the adapter and attached filter than to remove the filter. The B+W +5 is available in the 46mm size, which fits onto the HA-11 and you will still be able to fit the lens hood on top of it. The B+W +5 costs $59.00. (more)

For the past three-and-a-half years, I have spent a good portion of my life here at Contact Photo Arts. Not that I have minded, not at all, it is very pleasant around here. I have learned multitudes, about photography, people, and business as a whole. I've also made some friends along the way. There is such a good energy here, and that is why I have chosen to work on projects such as this site.
